Providing fair loans to entrepreneurs in emerging economies
Lendahand links investors with people seeking investment in developing countries through an online platform.
A company files for a loan with Lendahand’s local partners, and if their request is honoured Lendahand puts the loan request on the website. Funders can choose the amount they want to lend, and once there are enough funders, the money is wired to the local partner on the first day of the following month and the local partner provides the loan to the company.
The entrepreneur reimburses the loan in equal instalments plus interest every six months. Once the loan is paid back the lender can choose to lend again or to have it transferred back to their bank account at no cost.
