happin! is a free crowd-sourced application available for iPhones and Androids. It allows users to geotag disruptive events in Lebanon. Its map shows anything from locations of car accidents to pins marking armed clashes, protests, roads cut by off burning tyres and reports of gunfire and explosions.

Users can capture a photo or a video of what's going on around them. Once a user posts news, it gets filtered, and then shared with all users, after automatically adding the time and location, by using GPS capability.

happin! was created in 2012 and is now an award winning app. It was recently ranked second in the GIST (Global Innovation through Science and Technology) global entrepreneurship competition, organised by the US state department.

Since its introduction, the happin! user base has increased exponentially to reach 100,000 users, and is growing daily. The app has become, as one user tweeted “as necessary as oversized shades and full make up before u leave the house in Beirut".
