A UK skills-share scheme for people to teach or learn ‘green skills’.By Peterborough Environment City Trust
Greeniversity is a UK skills-share scheme for people to teach or learn ‘green skills’: practical skills that are environmental or build community spirit and resilience, such as cooking, growing, knitting, massage, mending, foraging, bike-maintenance, rainwater-harvesting, yoga and dance. The site grew out of a pilot in the British city of Peterborough, but is now a national platform. Anyone can register to teach or attend a class that underpins a healthy, active lifestyle. There are hubs in Cambridge, Bristol and Manchester, and people have led more than 1,000 classes.
