Helping cities to open their data to developers
City SDK aims to create change in how services are delivered in urban environments by delivering a Smart Development Toolkit that can be used by developers to develop APIs and apps that can be used across Europe.
With governments around the world looking at open data as a kick start for their economies, City SDK provides better and easier ways for the cities throughout Europe to release their data in a format that is easy for developers to re-use.
The initial City SDK project that ran from January 2012 to June 2014 resulted in the creation of three APIs:
- Open 311 API
- Linked data API
- Tourism API.
