Hypothermia and infection are some of the top causes of newborn deaths worldwide. Simple temperature monitoring can enable early intervention, but in resource-poor settings, where there are few nurses and parents are mostly uneducated, this can often go overlooked.

Bempu has developed a life-saving baby temperature monitoring wristband that empowers a mother to better manage newborn health, preventing illness.  If a newborn's body temperature falls outside the safe 37 °C range, the band intuitively alerts the mother to take action well before any life-threatening issues occur.

The band is safe, affordable, and simple to use in the hospital or home. Bempu aims to raise the standard of healthcare for 27 million infants born every year in India.
