The British Computer Association for the Blind (BCAB) claims to be "the oldest association of blind and partially sighted technology users in the world". It was established in 1969.
It's current programme of activities includes:
- 'TechChat' meet-ups
- Rollout of a Pocket PC (a USB stick containing accessibility software to help blind people work on standard computers)
- EyeT4All workshops, introducing the visually impaired to new technologies in informal ways
BCAB is a lively community of blind and partially sighted people. Members have a range of skill levels, ages and interests.
